Sisters, OR

Sisters is a great alternative if Bend feels too big, too busy, and too fancy. With a population of 3,064, Sisters is much smaller than Bend. It also has a higher elevation which makes it a little colder and the winters a little longer… but the Mountains! The Cascade mountains loom above and offer glimpses of heaven year round. Yo can hike in them, ski in them, fish the streams that flow from them, hunt deer and mushrooms around them. Also you can just and stare and bask in their beauty. Sisters has a few events that are huge draws. Rodeo in June. (They just call it Rodeo, like it’s the only one around.) Quilt Show. (in July) and Folk Festival. Actually, I also love the Harvets Fair in October. During these events, you have to stay home, or embrace the event! Crowds can be large, waits can be long, and weather can be extreme. (hot, cold smoky) I have attended them all and love them all.

Housing has increased in price and in options. townhomes, cottages, large homes with views and a few homes on Whychus Creek. Paying attention to Fire insurance is important in Sisters. It’s a town of gorgeous trees and Insurers know it.

Sisters has a Western Vibe and Western decor. Some find it awesome, some call it contrived. I love it, and the style, but my business is called Cowgirl Properties. Lakes and trails abound in the area. Bring your pony and your bestie and ride and ride…

I love Sisters and the skiing out towards Tam Mcarthur Rim around Three Creeks Lake. Yes, I love the Rodeo and the amazing music this small town brings in. Here are a couple of shots of some fun Sisters events. Yes, I could live here…
