Tumalo, OR

I love Tumalo. I love it more, the more I explore the streets, see the houses, and taste the well water. Tumalo is an unincorporated community in Deschutes County. It is well situated between Redmond, Bend, And Sisters. The population is estimated at 587, and the average age is 53.5. Residents love the wide open spaces, the opportunity for barns, and shops and big mountain views. Tumalo Irrigation was established in 1904 along with a Post Office. The Post Office is no longer there but the little town center has a coffee shop, gas station, Tavern, Steak House, Antique store, and Physical Therapy Office, and hoppin’ Food Cart lot. (to name a few) They also have a little school. The Tumalo Community School has 260 students and serves kids K-5th grade.

This is a wonderful place to live and a good community, especially if you are dreaming of a horse property, or growing something for you or your horses to eat.
