Northwest Bend Tour
Every Tuesday I have an appointment with my favorite realtors. We meet at the Cascade East Association of Realtors office… or on ZOOM, and then head out to view new Bend listings. Every week is divided into quadrants. This week’s tour was Northwest. I started my day in Awbrey Village. This area of Bend was really booming when I moved back to Bend from Portland in 2001. Smaller lots (smaller than what I was used to growing up in Bend) views to the east. Alley load garages and craftsman details. Many of the friends I’ve had over the last 20 + years still live in this area. The trees and landscaping are mature, the houses are a nice size, and it’s just a great place to live. So convenient to everything!
The homes here have held their value well. I was taking a walk down memory lane as I slowly drove the streets, Craftsman, Colonial, Bungalow, Prairie… remembering the families from my card group and my kids friends, and the epic July 4th parties held there. The neighbors walking their dogs seemed younger today. Maybe two young professionals, working remotely and walking their dogs on a little break? My friends that live in the area are now empty nesters looking for single level homes…
This one, built in 1999 at 3050 NW Colonial, listed by Total Property Resources for $989,000 was especially cute with its updated craftsman details and beautiful natural light.
